Master the color in your macro, nature and close -up images with the advanced tools found in Lightroom Classic.

Prerequisite: Lightroom Classic Develop Module Course or Working knowledge of the Lightroom Classic Develop Module

Learn to communicate with color and the many ways to enhance your images with the techniques in Lightroom.

In this self paced course you will get to explore the many tools available in Lightroom for editing color. Master the HSL panel, RGB Tone Curve, Split-Toning, Filters and Color Profiles. The course is full of detailed instruction and videos to make learning easy. Also included are a set of pre-sets and color profiles to help you get started!

Course Content

This course includes 6 units that combine content, instructor audio and videos for each technique. The course includes images to practice the lessons with as well as a set of pre-sets and color profiles to get you started. The course material is available for 60 days.

  • Communicating with Color

  • HSL panel: explore how to Tame the Greens, Brighten the Brights, Create Dark and Moody, and Soft and Dreamy Colors

  • RGB Tone Curve and Split Toning

  • Using the Graduated and Radial Filters to add color

  • Color Profiles and Pre-Sets

Required Gear

What materials are needed for the course?

  • Adobe Lightroom Classic Software

  • Working knowledge of the Develop Module in Lightroom. Students should have a basic understanding of the HSL Panel, Graduated/Radial Filters, Brush Tool and Tone Curve.

Lori Lankford is photographer specializing in macro, flower and landscape photography. Her passion for photography began as a way to capture her personal travel adventures. Over the years she dived into the fine details of macro and flower photography. She loves to escape so deeply into the details of a tiny object.
Lori spends her free time in local gardens across the country shooting in the natural light and capturing its beauty.
Lori’s work has been exhibited in local and national gallery exhibits as well as in printed calendars and catalogs. She has a love for teaching and sharing her passion for nature and leads workshops in the Virginia/DC area.
