What People Are Saying About This Course

I took the Lightroom Catalog online class and found it quite helpful. I've been using Lightroom for 2 years, after having taken a two day class. But I did not pay as much attention as I should have to the catalog part-- I was eager to get to the editing part -- and so there  things in the Catalog part of the course that I did not properly absorb. Your class filled in a lot of holes for me, and is an excellent introduction to an important part of Lightroom. I also like the ability to go back through the class and rewatch and review.

It is just wonderful to have the recordings easily accessible in the LR library class.  I wanted to write to let you know that I think you are an absolute treasure.  Photography (and the means to manage the product with program like Lightroom) has long been a goal of my mine.  However, the technical learning curves are a real challenge for me.  The way you broke down the class into easily understood modules and short video lessons on one function at a time was brilliant.  It enables the student to attempt one function at a time, watch the video, try it again, until it’s possible to take the training wheels off.
In addition to your wonderful organization of the lessons via the video format, you have a beautiful, calming voice and reassuring manner.  While this has, no doubt, been a key to your success as a photography teacher in the past, it is essential on a video based learning platform.

I really got so much out of both your Lightroom courses! I love your online classes and really glad you're continuing them.

How it works

Full Participation vs. Independent Learning

  • Full Participation

Full Participation learning gives you the benefit of accessing the materials at your own time from any place while also connecting with the instructor for discussion, demonstration and weekly feedback. Students are given a robust learning environment that includes online classroom content, live discussion with the instructor and instructor feedback.

  • Independent Learning

Independent learning gives you the benefit of a robust online learning environment, which includes all course content and videos. Independent learning students will not be able to participate in instructor live discussion or submit questions.
This is a great option for students wanting to explore a new subject on their own before taking a full class or a great option for a skill refresher.
